I purchased mine for our new cabin. We had purchased smaller, outside units, but they were unable to keep up a steady supply of hot water, so we went with the Aquah 10L. It works great and supplies all the hot water we need for showers, baths, and laundry. And the best part, although not recommended in the set up instructions, we have it connected to a standard 30lb propane tank and regulator. It will put out 145 degrees water temp, but we set it at 130. Easy to install and operate. It does have freeze protection as long as electric and propane are connected. We love it!!

I purchased this unit for an off the grid cabin. I am running the cabin watrer system with an RV style pump. This past weekend (Labor Day 2012) I was able to get the water system up and running. Once I adjusted the water heater to match the flow rate of my system it fired up like a charm. This unit has enough capacity to heat water for dishes and showers in an off grid setup. The only con is the gas inlet fitting is not very sturdy. I managed to bust mine off while trying to bend the 1/2" copper feed line closer to the wall. Fortunately I must not be the first to do this as I looked on the website and found it listed as a replacement part and it was less than $15.00 shipped. It tok about 10 minutes to replace and I was up and running.
